CSIR-NISCAIR introduced academic courses and research programme leading to PhD and M.Sc. in Science & Technology Communication (Sciences) under the Faculty of Mathematical & Information Sciences of the Academy of Scientific & Innovative Research (AcSIR), an institution of national importance established by an Act of Parliament. The total number of scholars enrolled in PhD is 17 and 9 students have been enrolled in the MSc programme.
Many CSIR-NISCAIR journals figure among the highest impact Indian journals in their respective fields. CSIR-NISCAIR is providing a platform for the scientific community, especially Indian scientists, to publish their research papers.
CSIR-NISCAIR’s popular science magazines – Science Reporter (English), Vigyan Pragati (Hindi) and Science ki Duniya (Urdu) – are among the largest circulated popular science magazines in the country.
