Space 2012: Space
Exploration, Today and in the Future
Shoili Pal
The year 2012
seems to be an exciting year for space travel with various space agencies
around the world lining up innovative and penetrating missions to space and
beyond.
Sudhaunshu Purohit
“Water is life's mater and matrix, mother and medium”
said the 1937 Nobel Laureate Hungarian biochemist Albert
Szent-Gyorgyi. It is indeed the element that creates and sustains life
not only on land but also under the dark unknowns of ocean depths.
Over the past few years a lot of concern has
been expressed over the presence of contaminants like pesticides, arsenic,
fluoride and other chemicals in drinking water.
Lifeline of the Country in
Danger
The water of the river Yamuna is not only unfit for
drinking but also for bathing and washing clothes. Despite huge amounts of
money having being spent on cleaning up the river little has changed.

Paresh R. Vaidya

Here’s a view.

Retaining Muscle Strength
Prasanta K. Dash & Rhitu Rai
A new approach could prevent or delay loss of muscle
strength and thereby decrease the frequency of broken bones in the elderly or
muscular dystrophy in the young.
