Synthesis of new heterocyclic compounds via cycloaddition reaction

The reaction of bis-(p-3,5-dioxo-1,2,4-triazolin-4-yl)-methane (diphenylmethanebistriazolinedione, DPMBTAD) with monomeric cyclopentadiene, 5,5-dimethoxy-1,2, 3,4-tetrachlorocyclopentadiene, hexachlorocyclopentadiene, isoprene, 1,3-cyclohexadiene, and anthracene has been investigated.

Reactions of amines and formaldehyde/aryl aldehydes in combination or in isolation, with 1-(2-hydroxyphenyl)-1,3-butanedione

1-(2-Hydroxyphenyl)-1,3-butanedione reacts with Schiff bases of aryl aldehydes and amines to give imines. It cyclizes to give 3-aminomethyl-2-methyl-chromone when boiled in ethanol with a secondary amine.

Synthesis of 3-ethoxycarbonyl-5-methyl-1-p-tolyl-1,2,4-triazolo [3,4-c] -1,2,4-triazole 5a by reaction of 5-allylmercapto-3-methyl-1,2,4-triazole 3 with ethyl chloroglyoxalate p-tolylhydrazone 4. The structural assignment is based on spectral and X - ray data.

Synthesis and antioxidant activity of hispolon, a yellow pigment from Inonotus hispidius
