Main Functions of Finance & Accounts Division

Supervision Level

Assistants in Finance and Accounts Section examine the proposals depending upon the receipts/bills marked to them. All the aforementioned work is supervised by Section Officer(F &A) under the overall supervision and guidance of Finance & Accounts Officer/Controller of Finance & Accounts.

Functions:

  • Auditing and payment of bills of all types drawn by DDO’s – (SO (Bills), SPO and Library Incharge.
  • Receipt and Accounting of Valuables.
  • Maintenance of PF Accounts of NISCAIR Staff.
  • Investment of Funds.
  • Accounting of other deposits such as Security Deposit, EMD, etc.
  • Pension cases finalisation/Issuance of PPO.
  • Preparation of Accounts (Monthly & Annually) through IMPACT and submission to CSIR.
  • Preparation of BE and RE and other Information and submission to CSIR. Examination and vetting/pre-auditing of proposals/cases initiated by Administration/Stores & Purchase/Production Division, etc.
  • Coordination of settlement of Internal Audit para conducted by CSIR and Inspection Report of Audit conducted by offic of PDA, Scientific Department.
  • Objection Book advances and adjustment thereof in consultation with Divisions from which OB has been originated.
  • Bank Reconciliation.
  • GDA and I-Remittance work.
